About me
My name is Jessica and I am a 21-year-old student from Canada currently living outside of Vienna, Austria. I am currently preparing to study Translation (Transkulturelle Kommunikation) at the University of Vienna in this coming winter semester, beginning in March.
Last year I took a year off of school because I had no idea what I wanted to study and I was already going into my third year! (I think at one point I was taking a German class, a Sociology class, an Anatomy class, and a History class, which were all interesting and everything, but a total waste of money because the only class I was motivated in was German and I still didn’t know what I wanted to get a degree in!)
I moved to Madrid with my boyfriend last year on a total whim after he got a job as a video game tester for EA. WhiIe in Spain, I fell in love with languages! I had been somewhat interested in languages since my Spanish classes in High School, but being in Europe really made me love them. I love travelling to different places that are so close together but have completely different languages, I just think it’s so cool!
In this blog I will talk about my personal language learning endeavours, language learning tips and resources, and student life in Austria.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my blog!
