I’ll be back soon
I’m not sure exactly how personal this blog is but I guess I will write a little something about where I’ve been.
My boyfriend and I have decided amicably to split up so of course that has been a pretty huge thing to deal with. I also completed and loved my first week of classes at University and gotten a really cool job at a German language school, proof reading English texts that are translated from German that they use for parallel reading activities. I check them to make sure they are well translated into English and are also as close to the original German text as possible. I’m so glad I found this job as it is the perfect side job for me right now.
So as you can guess, I will be staying in Austria although I am no longer with my boyfriend. I’m going up to Vienna tomorrow and will be looking for a room in a Wohngemeinschaft (shared apartment) next week.
I will use this time to think of some great post ideas. I hope you are all having fun learning languages!

Sorry to hear about the breakup, but I’m happy to hear that you love your classes and found a job! I think staying in Austria is the right thing to do.
Thanks, I think it’s the right thing too.
Breakups are hard, but knowing your fearless nature when studying languages, Ièm sure you will be on track soon enough. Good luck with the studies, I love starting a new class or school, its all a new adventure and can really be a self-motivator. Looking forward to the new posts. Sending only good thoughts to you.
Thanks so much for the nice comment!
I have been wanting to study at a college abroad for many years, I was wondering if all of your classes are in English or German or both? I do speak fairly good German, but I am afraid it might not be good enough to take classes entirely in German!
My classes are all in German and I have actually found it not so hard to understand! There are actually a LOT of foreign students in my classes and I think the teachers might be speaking a bit more slowly and clearly for this reason, but I think if you have a pretty good grasp of the language (and practice listening A LOT) then you should be fine!
